    Recently taken over and refurbished.

    Absolutely phenomenal!

    The recommended "Marinated Lamb Rump" was absolutely beautiful. Seriously, go now, and get this.

    Party of 11 booked in advance (3 children, 8 adults).

    Service was brilliant, and the place has been done out in a a really homely fashion. Really can't recommend highly enough, mmm... marinated lamb rump...

    We had a run up to the far side of Carlisle yesterday (07/04/17) and called in to “The Sally” at Irthington for a bite to eat!
    (And also to catch up with Shaun, Jimmy and James of course!)
    The welcome from all three was, as usual, wonderfully warm, and Jimmy’s food, as ever, was well worth the journey!
    We Love what you’ve done to The Sally! The place is absolutely stunning!
    The best recommendation I can give is to say that we’ll definitely be back!

    Without a doubt, one of the top 5 burgers I've ever eaten! And that's saying something! The bun was very fresh and the burger quite tasty. The included chips were very crispy. Service was prompt and friendly. Great job!
